Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi is a sequence of 18 traditional Chinese Medicine movements. Its movements are centuries-old.
Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi aims to reduce stress, anxiety and to release physical tension, which improves the balance and flow of qi (energy) in the body. The movements are free flowing, gentle, slow and are synchronised with the breath.
Each movement has a health benefit, and it may reduce fatigue, depression, anxiety, and improve balance, flexibility, and concentration.
It is a beautiful practice that is a joy to do as well as being calming and relaxing. It is appropriate for a range of ages. You are never too old to learn and practice Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi, many people 75 plus enjoy practising it. It can be practised standing or seated.
