Further Information

The classes are informal and friendly. You will learn a number of practices including very gentle Breath Movement, Body Scans; HA Breath and Body Tapping for energy and vitality, Coherent Breathing for calm abiding Ocean Breath for soothing effects and chanting that creates vibrations that is believed to put greater emphasis on healing internal organ systems and releasing blocked energy. Chanting is also a wonderful way to enter meditation. The breathing techniques have been a transformative experience for many people, who never would have imagined that something so simple could be so powerful and helpful.

The Breath Body Mind™ course is structured over 4 weekly classes of 90 minutes with two follow up classes. It is an experiential, practice-based course that from the very first class focuses on putting your health and wellbeing at the forefront of your awareness. Between classes, you are invited and encouraged to practice for 20 minutes a day. You can choose to integrate some of the other practices into your daily life.

The breathing techniques are designed to activate communication pathways between the mind and the body, positively impacting the brain and calming the stress response. With regular practice they are proven to raise energy levels, regulate mood, and enhance mental focus and the sense of connection to oneself and others. Benefits have been experienced by thousands of adults, teenagers and children worldwide, including individuals with anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, addictions, and medical health conditions; medical professionals, military veterans, survivors of international disasters and humanitarian crises such as 9/11, 2004 Southeast Tsunami in Asia, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, slavery in Sudan, genocide in Rwanda, and Rohingya refugee children in Bangladesh.

All classes take place in a private, warm, peaceful and spacious meditation studio. Yoga mats, chairs, meditation stools, cushions, and foot blocks are provided.
